Keyword Tooltips allow you to define keywords or phrases that, when used across supported applications, display a rich pop-up with additional information when hovered or clicked. These popups can contain any content you choose, such as definitions, explanations, or contextual details, helping enhance engagement and usability across your community. Fully rebuilt to integrate seamlessly with the IPS framework, Keywords now behaves like a native content type. It supports core features such as: Search integration Follow system Reactions Notifications Comments Full moderation workflows. Administrators can require approval for new keywords and comments, ensuring quality control and consistency. With improved permissions, group-based controls, and tighter integration across applications, Keywords delivers a powerful and flexible way to enrich content while maintaining full compatibility with IPS standards. Compatible with Create Content Menu: https://www.sosinvision.com.br/index.php?/file/520-create-content-menu/
  2. Advanced Countdowns provides a flexible, visually appealing way to display countdowns across your community. Create and manage countdowns with four distinct display styles to match your design and use case: Circular – a modern, animated radial layout Inline – a compact, text-based format ideal for tight spaces Square – a clean, block-style presentation Outline – a minimal, lightweight variant with subtle styling Each countdown is driven by a target date and time, allowing you to count down to any event—launches, deadlines, announcements, or special occasions. Full timezone support ensures accuracy regardless of where your members are located. You can also create private countdowns, visible only to the member who created them. Administrators retain full visibility of all countdowns through the AdminCP, where they can also manage existing countdowns and configure application settings with ease. On the front end, countdowns can be edited or deleted by their owners, as well as by moderators with the appropriate permissions (this application adds two new permissions). Whether you need a simple inline timer or a bold visual centerpiece, Advanced Countdowns provides the flexibility to fit seamlessly into your community.

Weather adds two simple and elegant ways to view the weather for specific locations: a global icon in the user bar and a widget for your community, making it easy for members to check current conditions at a glance. Administrators can configure the default city, language, temperature unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit), and wind speed unit (km/h or mph) directly from the AdminCP, allowing the widget to match the preferences of your community. Members can also personalize the experience by adding their own location directly in the widget. When they do, their chosen city will appear in a dedicated Weather tab on their profile, so other users can see the current weather in their area. The widget displays the current temperature, weather conditions, and additional details such as feels-like temperature, humidity, and wind speed, presented in a clean layout that integrates naturally with the IPS interface. To keep things efficient and avoid unnecessary API usage, the app uses a 1-hour cache for weather data, which helps ensure the free OpenWeather plan is more than enough for most communities. Key features: Configurable default city Configurable language Configurable temperature unit (°C or °F) Configurable wind speed unit (km/h or mph) Members can set their own location directly from the widget Member location is displayed in the Weather tab on the user profile 1-hour weather data cache to minimize API requests Clean, responsive design that fits naturally into the IPS framework A lightweight addition that brings a bit of real-world context to your community. 🌤️
  4. Managing permissions across multiple member groups in IPS can quickly become confusing. Even small differences between groups may go unnoticed, and tracking them down manually is tedious. Group Compare makes this easy. This tool allows administrators to select any two member groups and instantly see their differences side by side. Each permission and setting is stored in the core_groups table is displayed clearly, making it simple to identify where groups differ and how they are configured. Instead of jumping between multiple ACP pages trying to remember which group has which setting, you can compare everything in a single view. Key features include: Side-by-side comparison of any two member groups Option to display only the differences for faster review Clear visual indicators for enabled/disabled permissions Quick actions to copy a value from one group to the other Whether you are auditing permissions, troubleshooting group behavior, or trying to keep several groups aligned, Group Compare provides a much clearer overview of how your groups are configured. A simple tool that saves administrators a surprising amount of time.
  5. Blog Entry Reading Time displays an estimated reading time on each entry, so members can instantly see how long it may take to read the full entry from start to finish. The estimate is calculated using the entry’s entire content (including comments) and is shown directly on the entry page. SettingsThis app includes flexible configuration options: Cache Expiration Time – controls how long reading time values are cached. Words Per Minute – adjust the reading speed used for the calculation. Allowed Groups – choose which member groups can see the reading time. Smart Cache InvalidationTo keep the estimate accurate, the cache is automatically rebuilt whenever the entry is updated: A new comment has been added A comment is deleted A comment visibility state changes (hidden/unhidden) This keeps reading time accurate at all times without slowing your community.
  6. This app restores a feature from IPS4 that was removed in IPS5: the centralized +Create menu. It automatically adds menu entries for all official IPS applications (except Courses), allowing users to create content across your community quickly. Moderators: Moderators with the proper permissions can also create announcements and alerts directly from the menu, streamlining site management and community engagement. 3rd-party developers: Developers can use IPS5 extensions to add their own applications to the menu, making it fully customizable and future-ready.

Moderator Control Panel (CP): A dedicated tab displays all banned devices across the community. 24. This tiny application simply turns the Security Question field into a password field, so whatever you type isn’t visible on screen. Why this matters: Even if “no one is supposed to see it,” it’s the same idea as hiding a password. For example, I record videos all the time, and the security answer would show up in the recording. Because of that, I used to disable Security Questions for my group altogether.
  25. This application allows you to mark a conversation as unread so you can come back to it later, when the time is right. It will appear as unread in your messages list, making it easy to find.
