Topic Reading Time displays an estimated reading time on each topic, so members can instantly see how long it may take to read the full discussion from start to finish. The estimate is calculated using the topic’s entire content (including replies) and is shown directly on the topic page.
Settings
This app includes flexible configuration options:
Cache Expiration Time – controls how long reading time values are cached.
Words Per Minute – adjust the reading speed used for the calculation.
Allowed Groups – choose which member groups can see the reading time.
Allowed Forums – select which forums the reading time will be displayed in.
Smart Cache Invalidation
To keep the estimate accurate, the cache is automatically rebuilt whenever the topic is updated:
A new post has been added
A post is deleted
A post visibility state changes (hidden/unhidden)
This keeps the reading time accurate at all times, without slowing down your community.

Instead of the default “all-or-nothing” messaging behavior, this application allows you to define exactly which member groups a user can start conversations with, and which groups they are allowed to reply to, directly from the ACP group settings.
This makes it ideal for communities that require structured communication flows, such as support forums, moderated platforms, educational communities, or role-based environments.
Key Features
Control which groups a user can start new messages to
Control which groups a user can reply to messages from
Fully managed from the ACP Groups form (no separate configuration pages)
Enforced at runtime to prevent unauthorized messaging
Seamless integration with the IPS 5 Messenger interface
Use Cases
Allow members to message staff, but not other members
Restrict new users from initiating conversations while allowing replies
Enable support-only messaging channels
Enforce role-based or hierarchy-based communication rules
Restricted Messenger adds the control layer that serious communities need, without changing how messaging feels for users.

With the new moderator permissions, this application enables moderators to ban or unban members' devices.
Moderators can manage devices in two ways:
Member Profiles: A new tab in each member’s profile allows moderators to view and ban their devices.
Moderator Control Panel (CP): A dedicated tab displays all banned devices across the community.
Note:
IPS stores members' devices in cookies, so this resource may not be so accurate for advanced users, as they can clear their cookies and regain access to the board. It should be used in conjunction with the account banning.
